How do I know if I'm in a Standard or Extended town?

Accepted Answer

You don't need to figure it out yourself. Enter your delivery address when placing an order and the site will automatically determine whether your location is in a Standard or Extended delivery area and apply the appropriate minimum order and delivery charge. If you would like to know before starting an order, you can also contact Wild Rhodes Ranch and we will confirm it for you.

What is the difference between a Standard and Extended town?

Our materials yard is located in central Rhode Island, in Providence County. Delivery areas are grouped based on location and delivery logistics. Standard towns have a $250 minimum material order. Extended towns have a $350 minimum material order.

Question 3

How is the delivery charge calculated?

Accepted Answer

Delivery charges are based on the loaded, one-way delivery trip from our central Rhode Island yard to your property. You are not charged for the truck's empty return trip. Your delivery charge is calculated automatically after you enter your delivery address, so you will see it before placing your order.

Question 4

When is delivery free?

Accepted Answer

Orders of 20 or more yards of a single material delivered to a Standard town qualify for free delivery. Extended delivery areas typically do not qualify for free delivery. For unusually large orders or special projects, contact us because custom delivery arrangements may be available.

Is there a minimum order?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The minimum material order depends on the delivery area: Standard towns: $250 minimum material order Extended towns: $350 minimum material order

Do you deliver outside Rhode Island?

Accepted Answer

Wild Rhodes Ranch primarily delivers throughout Rhode Island. Nearby out-of-state deliveries may be considered on a case-by-case basis, particularly for larger orders or special projects. Availability, pricing, and delivery arrangements for those orders are quoted individually. Contact us or submit a Project Quote and we will review the location and project details.

Question 7

What if I have a very large order or an unusual delivery?

Large-volume orders and special projects may qualify for arrangements that differ from the standard online delivery structure. If your project falls outside the normal ordering options, submit a Project Quote or contact us directly.

Question 8

Can I pick up material myself?

Accepted Answer

No. Wild Rhodes Ranch currently provides delivery only. We do not offer customer pickup.

Question 9

What materials can I order online?

Accepted Answer

Soil & compost: Farm Loam (screened to 1/2") and screened Compost. Gravel & stone: 3/4" Natural Processed Gravel, 3/4" Crushed Stone, 3/4" Gravel – Recycled Blend, 2–3" Gravel – Recycled Blend, and Reclaimed Asphalt Millings. Current prices, photos and common uses for each material are on our Materials page. What's available can change with the season — call or text (401) 395-6656 if you're looking for a different size or grade.

How do I know how much material I need?

Use our Coverage Estimator to get an estimate based on the length, width, and depth of your project area. The estimator is a planning tool, and actual material needs can vary depending on grading, compaction, site conditions, and the project. If you're unsure how much material you need or would like to talk through your project, give us a call. We're happy to help you think through the details before you order.

Question 11

Are requested delivery dates guaranteed?

Accepted Answer

No. We will do our best to accommodate your requested delivery date, but requested dates are not guaranteed. Wild Rhodes Ranch will contact you to confirm the delivery date and approximate delivery timing before dispatch.

Question 12

Can I pay by cash or check?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cash and check orders can be requested through the website. Wild Rhodes Ranch will contact you to confirm the material ordered, total, payment arrangements, and delivery details. Payment by cash or check is due upon delivery and must be received by the driver before material is unloaded. Please make all checks payable to Wild Rhodes Ranch, LLC.

Question 13

Do you provide snow plowing?

Accepted Answer

No. Wild Rhodes Ranch provides snow relocation and haul away only. We do not provide snow plowing. We handle residential and commercial snow relocation using loaders and trucking when accumulated snow needs to be moved or removed from a property.

How do I get help with a project that doesn't fit the online order form?

Accepted Answer

Use the Project Quote page. It is intended for larger orders, unusual delivery situations, specialty material needs, site considerations, and projects that need individual review.
